KWappen

KWappen is a colorful KDE2 board game. The goal of the game is to eliminate the game tiles as quickly as possible. The game is solved if every column has one tile or no tiles. The game is not a clone of any other board game, and the rules of the game are entirely unique. KWappen was tested with SuSE 7.3 Linux. KWappen requires a screen resolution that at least as large as 1024x768 pixels.

MathWar

MathWar is a flashcard math game in which the child plays against the computer to solve simple addition, subtraction, and multiplication problems before the computer player answers. MathWar is aimed at kids who are just learning their math facts, and can easily be tailored to fit different skill levels.

NebulaCards

Nebula Cards is a networked, modular card game engine written in pure Java. The game rules, user interfaces, and computer players all take the form of pluggable Java classes, and most four-player, trick-taking games can be implemented. It currently includes Spades and Hearts, with a computer player for Spades.

PipeNightDreams

PipeNightDreams is a game similar to the classic PipeDreams that runs under X11. It is implemented using the SDL libraries. It has 25 levels with increasing difficulty, and you can create your own by editing the text files. It has a lot of cool graphics, and a simple and fast interface.

SpaceHulk

Space Hulk is a great board game which takes place in the world of Warhammer 40000. It is a two player turn-based game where one player plays the 'Marine', the other player plays the alien called 'Genestealer'. This video game is a complete conversion of the board game with the 2nd edition rules. It features playing over the network, either in real time or asynchronously via email.

Tes

tes is a simple multiplayer card game of visual perception for ncurses networked environments. The goal of the game is to find three cards which have the proper properties quicker than your opponents. A bot is included for lonely players.

Teutron

Teutron is a fun game, akin to Tron or Nibbles, where you must traverse a board with obstacles and collect food. Unlike most variations of Tron or Nibbles, Teutron has you control two of these heads at the same time, and has a selection of other items you can pick up as well that have effects on your speed, score, or the game board. The levels are plain ASCII text files and are simple to create.

XRick

xrick is a clone of Rick Dangerous. Written entirely in C, it relies on the Simple DirectMedia Layer library and has been ported to Linux (its primary target). Way before Lara Croft, back in the 1980's and early 1990's, Rick Dangerous was the Indiana Jones of computer games, running away from rolling rocks and avoiding traps in places from South America to a futuristic missile base via Egypt and the Schwarzendumpf castle.
