- FreeAmp
- FreeAmp is an MP3/Vorbis/CD Audio player/Jukebox for Linux and Win32. It features both graphical theme and text-based user interfaces, a download manager for automating MP3 downloads, and a powerful music browser/playlist manager. Other features include HTTP/RTP streaming playback with HTTP stream saving and title streaming, and a fast, clean-sounding Open Source decoding engine. It supports Win32/OSS sound systems, ALSA, and EsounD.

- GnomeRadio
- Gnomeradio is another FM-Radio tuner writen in gtk+. Gnomeradio should work with every FM-Tunercard that is supported by video4linux. Remote-controls are supported as gnomeradio has (optional) lirc-support.

- GStreamer is a streaming media library and set of tools that enable applications to share a common set of plugins for things like MP3 decoding, audio I/O, and anything else that streams in real-time or otherwise. It is modelled after research software worked on at the Oregon Graduate Institute.

- KmusicDB
- KmusicdB is a music collection manager employing a KDE2 frontend, and a PostgreSQL backend. You can add your music collection to the database, and view it in a convenient browser. It currently supports the ability to add and edit artists, add and edit titles (with album pictures), and a track editor. The ability to generate reports and statistics, and also to search the database is implemented, as well as creating and opening, backing up and restoring databases. It is highly customizable, and very fast. CDDB functionality has also been implemented.
