- ickle is an ICQ2000 client using the GTK-- graphical toolkit. It aims to bring all the useful features of ICQ2000 to non-Windows users. It supports message/URL/SMS sending/receiving (including SMS delivery reports), status changes, reading away messages, and fetching advanced user info from a server. History browsing and lots of configurability in Settings are available.

- Mozilla is a Web browser that is being developed by the Free Software Community with the cooperation and support of Netscape. Initially, its development was based on an early version of Netscape Communicator 5.0. But most of it was disposed of halfway, and the current Mozilla is a completely new software based on the "NGLayout" layout engine developed for Netscape Communicator 6. "Netscape 6" (the Web browser from Netscape) and "Beonex Communicator" are based on Mozilla. Many other projects use/embed Mozilla's rendering engine.

- PIMPPA
- PIMPPA automates file downloading from newsgroups and FTP sites. Its especially designed for leeching pictures but can be used for any files. Filename-based heuristics and MD5 checksums are used for spam/duplicate prevention and automatic sorting of incoming material. The whole process is cronable. PIMPPA also includes a GNOME GUI and several commandline utilities for further processing and management of the kept files.

- Vipul's Razor is a distributed, collaborative, spam detection and filtering network that exploits the broadcast characteristic of spam distribution to limit its propagation. The primary focus of the system is to identify and disable an email spam before its injection and processing is complete. Razor establishes a distributed and constantly updating catalogue of spam in propagation. This catalogue is used by clients to filter out known spam.
