Amarok is a sound system-independent audio-player for Unix. Its interface uses a powerful "browser" metaphor that allows you to create playlists that make the most of your music collection. New features in this release include DAAP support for remote music sharing, Dynamic Collection (removable media support), and improved Last.fm streaming. Also, Amarok can now access MTP media devices, and is compatible with LibVisual 0.4 and LibTunePimp 0.5. Crossfading has been much improved, and many bugs have been fixed thanks to a code analysis from klocwork.com.

Traverso is a multitrack audio recording and editing program for GNU/Linux with special emphasis to create an easy to use program with a clean and intuitive interface. Traverso uses a contextual interaction interface. Instead of using (only) the mouse to operate on certain objects, the mouse and keyboard are used together to control the program. This results in a higher flexibility to control the program compared to the 2 or 3 mouse buttons available if the mouse was used alone.
