GePhex is a modular video jockey software. The base visuals can be chosen from sources like video files or cameras. Then they can be modified by filters and mixers. Each modifier has several parameters that can be controlled by signal-generators, input devices like joysticks, sound cards, or MIDI-devices. The effect engine is independent of the user interface, and is extensible through plugins.

JTVD is a graphical frontend for popular command line programs such as MEncoder, transcode, MJPEG Tools, toolame, DVDAuthor, and growisofs. It makes it easy to grab videos from Video4Linux devices such as TV cards, encode the data to DVD-compatible MPEG2 files, and author and burn a video DVD. It includes a manual with a small tutorial on creating simple title menus.

K-3D is a 3D modeling, animation, and rendering system for GNU/Linux & Win32. Features include creation and editing of geometry in multiple realtime OpenGL solid, shaded, and texture-mapped views; unlimited undos and redos; complete extensibility at runtime through third-party plugins; animated procedural geometric effects; all parameters animatable through a consistent control-spline based interface; rendering pipeline to Renderman Interface compliant rendering engines; optimization for use with the Aqsis rendering engine, which features solid modelling, true displacement, and user programmable shaders; and support for background and batch rendering.

KDE Image Database (KimDaBa) is a tool for indexing, searching, and viewing images. The indexing is done by telling KimDaBa who is on the images, where the images were taken, and (optionally) adding descriptions. KimDaBa is highly optimized for easy indexing of images, so that it is possible to use it with thousands of images. It also allows you to browse your images easily, based on the properties (person, location, keywords) you specified when indexing.

m2vmp2cut is frame accurate (currently PAL) MPEG2 video (M2V file) with accompanied MP2 audio cutter. Frame accuracy is achieved by re-encoding video around cutpoints. Audio is cut from a separate MP2 file at positions that keep A/V sync as good as possible (maximum sync difference is around 10-15 milliseconds compared to the source).

RawView is a small multi-platform Java image viewer for digital camera raw files. It only takes up little over 150 kilobytes uncompressed, and allows you to view raw files from numerous Canon (CRW, TIF, and CR2), Nikon (NEF), Olympus (ORF), Minolta (MRW), Pentax (PEF), and Kodak DSLR (DCR) cameras. You can also save quick proofs from an image if necessary and display available EXIF information. A Java library for loading raw-files is also available.

tovid is a suite of utilities designed to make VCD, SVCD, and DVD authoring a little less painful. tovid can create MPEG output from arbitrary video formats. Other components in the suite can help you identify video files, generate graphical menus for DVD, and write the XML for authoring DVDs.
