Avogadro is an advanced molecular editor designed for cross-platform use in computational chemistry, molecular modeling, bioinformatics, materials science, and related areas. It offers flexible rendering and a powerful plugin architecture. The main concept behind Avogadro is to enable a strong framework for molecular visualization and editing. Each community has their own needs and goals for an ideal tool. So Avogadro seeks to allow users to easily provide their own plugins and scripts for rendering, tools, commands etc.

This is the source code for Gnome 2.20.1, the latest release of the popular desktop environment as used by many distros. Note that you need to be a fairly advanced Linux user to build Gnome from its source code; there's a lot of compilation and time involved. But if you're very familiar with building from source and would like to craft your own new Gnome installation, use the Garnome program supplied here - extract it and read the documentation for full usage instructions.

Happydigger is used to catalogue archaeological finds. It is intended both for semi-professional use and by amateurs (e.g. metal detectorists) who want to keep track of their finds. Data is stored into a database with extensive find and findspot details. If images are available, they will be displayed together with the find information.

Muine is an innovative music player. It has a simple interface designed to allow the user to easily construct a playlist from albums and/or single songs. Its goal is to be simply a music player, not to become a robust music management application. Requires Mono.

Osmo is a handy personal organizer which includes calendar, tasks manager and address book modules. It was designed to be a small, easy to use and good looking PIM tool to help to manage personal information. In current state the organizer is quite convenient in use - for example, the user can perform nearly all operations using the keyboard. Also, a lot of parameters are configurable to meet user preferences. On the technical side, Osmo is a GTK+ based tool which use plain XML database to store all personal data.

Qosmic is a nifty toy with which you can edit and render 'flam3' fractal images. There's currently no manual for the program, but play around with it to see what effects you can generate. Also see the screenshot here for an example of the program in action.

Viking plots GPS waypoints and tracks over maps and allows you to view and edit GPS data. It supports Google, Expedia, Terraserver, and Topozone maps. It also has the ability to show geocoded photos over maps and tracks. It is written in C using only GTK+ libs.
