innotek VirtualBox is a powerful x86 virtualisation tool - that is, a PC emulator that lets you run operating systems on top of your normal Linux distro. It's great for trying out other Linux flavours without having to install them natively to your hard drive. See the DVD pages of the magazine for a comprehensive installation and usage guide. (Quick guide: install the relevant package for your distro, or copy VirtualBox_1.5.4_Linux_x86.run (or the AMD64 version on 64-bit machines) to your home directory and run it (as root) to install, then enter 'VirtualBox' at a shell prompt to fire it up. Also see the user manual PDF.)
