Festival is a general multi-lingual speech synthesis system developed at CSTR. It offers a full text to speech system with various APIs, as well an environment for development and research of speech synthesis techniques. It is written in C++ with a Scheme-based command interpreter for general control.

Speaker provides text-to-speech output for the Konqueror Web browser and the Kate text editor, both part of the K Desktop Environment for Unix. Speaker is a pair of plugins that allow for text and selected text to be output as speech using an external speech synthesizer program. Currently, festival and ViaVoice are supported.

Note Editor is an editor for music notation that supports an unlimited number of staffs and up to 9 voices per staff. The import formats are MIDI files, recorded from MIDI keyboards and TSE3. The export formats are MIDI, MusiXTeX, LilyPond, PMX, MUP, and TSE3.

TSE3 (Trax Sequencer Engine v3) is a powerful open source sequencer engine written in C++. It is a sequencer engine because it provides the actual driving force elements of a sequencer but provides no form of user interface.
