This dictionary is based on a subset of the original
English wordlist created by Kevin Atkinson for Pspell
and Aspell and thus is covered by his original
LGPL license. The affix file is a heavily modified
version of the original english.aff file which was
released as part of Geoff Kuenning's Ispell and as
such is covered by his BSD license.

Thanks to both authors for their wonderful work.

The modifications for MySpell were made by
Andrew Brown <alloneword@dial.pipex.com>

Updates to transform the affix rules to represent more closely the formation of
words in English were made by me and David Bartlett <dbartlett@iee.org>. He is
working on another version of this dictionary (available from www.pyxydium.org).
We hope to merge the two back together later this autumn (2002).

Please let Andrew Brown know if you
find any errors in this one.

This version updated by Andrew Brown September 9th 2002.

9/9: Caught an affix bug that allowed "center" -- thanks to Neil Hollow -- and
zapped "theater", whch I thought I had done months ago.

2/9: Only minor changes this time, except that I zapped all "ization"
and replaced them with "isation", since that is never wrong in
English, whereas "ization" sometimes is; and it's easier for people to
add the right ones than to find the wrong ones.

Also, replaced "meager" with "meagre", and started using the new /s
suffix from my affix file, which forms endings in -ise -ised and
-isation. Used first with "real" and "mutagen" but obviously of very
wide applicability if anyone wants to continue this work.

Thanks to David Bartlett, Patrick Loschmidt,Sistofe Wheeler, Virginia Clements,
and David Ananian-Cooper for recent feedback.
