Virtual desktops are very nice, but sometimes you want a window to appear on every desktop. For example, maybe you need a small chat window or an alarm clock always visible.

In that case you can enable the "sticky" feature to pin the window onto the background so that it appears on every virtual desktop.

Right-click on an application's title bar, then choose Toggle > Sticky.
