Shuttle Challenger, mated to two solid rocket boosters (SRB) and an 
external  fuel tank, stands ready for launch from Pad 39A at the Kennedy 
Space Center.  The crawler transporter which accomplished the move to the 
pad is partially  visible at left (30699); Challenger is backed out of High 
Bay 2 of the  Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF) in preparation for tow to 
the Vehicle  Assembly Building (VAB). The SRBs and the external tank have 
not been  attached (30700).
