INTRODUCTION
DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS (TM) is a benchmark program written for
computers running Windows 3.1. This program was designed to measure HOW
EFFICIENTLY A COMPUTER'S PROCESSOR, MEMORY, BIOS AND BIOS work together
when running under Windows.
SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION LICENSE
If you are a shareware vendor (non-asp) or a BBS Sysop, you are granted
a NON-EXCLUSIVE license to copy and distribute DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS
(TM) provided the following criteria are adhered to:
1) You agree to distribute the archive file unmodified in any way.
2) You agree to add ONLY your company's instructional TEXT files.
3) You agree not to charge more than $5 for this program.
4) You agree to notify the author, in writing, that you are now
distributing DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS (TM). This is IMPORTANT! The
author MUST know who is distributing copies of this disk to enable
timely replacement with updated versions.
5) ASP vendors and ASP BBS's MUST receive written permission, from the
author, BEFORE distributing copies of DRYSTONE.EXE.
INSTALLING DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS (TM)
1) Copy DRYSTONE.EXE to your Windows directory.
2) Run Windows.
3) Select Files, Run, Drystone.exe and press ENTER.
SHAREWARE REGISTRATION
Registration is REQUIRED if you continue to use DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS
(TM) after a trial period of 30 days. Commercial use REQUIRES that
registration occur BEFORE the results from DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS (TM)
are published or used in advertising, and BEFORE this program is used
at a computer show or in a computer store.
A PERSONAL registration is available for use on one computer at a time.
This registration DOES NOT include a license to use the results
obtained from DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS (TM) in advertising.
A COMMERCIAL registration is available for corporate, commercial or
governmental use. This registration includes a site license for
unlimited use at one location and a network server license for use on
multiple networks at one location and permission to use the results
obtained from DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS (TM) in advertising and
publications.

All DHRYSTONE FOR WINDOWS (TM) registrations include:
1) Free updates for one year from the date of purchase.
2) Technical support as required.
3) EMAIL access to the author.
REPORTING A SOFTWARE PROBLEM
In the event that discover a problem, the author would appreciate
hearing about it. After you read the documentation to be sure you are
not doing something wrong, please fill out and return the enclosed
Problem Report Form. This should be done by mail.
Please fill out the form completely so the author can understand what
the problem is. If possible include screen dumps of the problem you
have found. If you have any unusual hardware installed please be sure
to include this information as well.
SOFTWARE WARRANTY
This software has been thoroughly tested and found to be error free.
The author has taken all reasonable steps to be certain that this
software will perform as indicated. However it is impossible for any
author to test software on every computer in existence today. The
author and his distributors cannot be held responsible for any damage,
real or otherwise that occurs from the use of this software.
For a period of thirty (30) days from the date of purchase of one of
the registrations specified above, the author will attempt to fix any
problems you might discover. If this is not possible the author will
refund your purchase price.
