Beta Test Ends - Please Note:

If you have somehow downloaded a copy of 16.0 Beta and are having problems with the license process, we apologize, but additional licenses are no longer being generated for the Beta version. Therefore, the Beta copy of BRU that you downloaded will not function with the license info provided. As mentioned above, you will be able to download a demo version within the next week.

Ugrade plan - Customers who have purchased BRU 15.1 on or following February 24, 2000 will automatically be upgraded to BRU 16.0.

The enhanced version 16.0 forms the foundation bridge to the upcoming BRU-Pro backup solution that will provide enterprise level backup services. Version 16.0 will remain the backup solution of choice for commercial applications not requiring the breadth of support of BRU-Pro.

BRU 16.0 retains the reliable, proven functionality of its earlier versions that assures accurate restores while it undergoes functional enhancements to accommodate the changing requirements of backup today, and into the future. Most of the changes to BRU 16.0 will be transparent to users, but several enhancements will be obvious:

• The addition of a Web interface to manage backups remotely
• Improved write efficiency achieved by reducing file format overhead
• Software compression performance that significantly optimizes tape capacity
• Distribution on CD and activation via a software key
