NOTES ON THE UNIX VERSIONS OF THE QRZ SEARCH SOFTWARE

The qrz2 programs in the aix, os2 and sun directories were directly ported
from the DOS version of QRZ.EXE.  All commands and options for these programs
are exactly the same as those in the DOS version.

The aix and sun versions must hav the QRZPATH environment variable set
before the programs are run.  This variable must indicate the mount 
point of the CD and the directory /callbk.  For example, if your CD
is mounted on /cdrom, the correct setting would be:

for the bourne shell:

QRZPATH = /cdrom/callbk
EXPORT QRZPATH

or for the c-shell:

setenv QRZPATH /cdrom/callbk


If you would like to port this program to another operating system, 
please contact the author at:  flloyd@qrz.com  and indicate which OS
you would like to port to.  Currently, we need HP/UX, SGI, NT, OSF/1 and 
ULTRIX ports.  You must be willing to aggree to a non-disclosure in
order to obtain a copy of the source.

We especially need a Macintosh port, and realize that it would not
be very easy.  If you're able to volunteer for this please contact me.
