To: tcp-group@ucsd.edu

     All,

I am starting a very ambitious project. I am trying to put together a
NEW version of anos for ax.25 tcp. In doing so, the only source that
I can find it anos29K. I am currently using version "n" from John.
So the problem. 1) I can't seem to get "k" to compile with a new SAS
C v6.5 compiler. Actually, I can get it to compile, but it wont run.
     2) I would much prefer to undertake this project with the "n" or newer
source. Does anyone have any information on whether there are bugs in
the "k" source or if there is a newer version avail somewhere.

I would really like to add some of the great things in JNOS to this
code stream, but can't seem to get a good version of source that I can
compile in a known working state. Anyone that has done so please
     advise.

I have the source to x16 of JNOS and would like to put convers, etc.,
into anos. Any interested parties should contact me at this address
     for more information.

But I have to get to first base....

I have sent numerous emails to john G1YYH, but I'm not sure they have
made it, as I have received no response. I sent another one today,
we'll see. So I ask, has anyone else compiled and ran a version of
     anos?

     Thanks,
     Alan Adamson

It has just been put on
ftp.ece.orst.edu, in pub/ham/wg7j/110 and pub/ham/wg7j/jnos40
and
ucsd.edu in hamradio/packet/tcpip/incoming

Files are
docs110.zip - documentations, example configs etc for jnos and jnos40
jnos110.exe - the executable with the docs110.zip included
jnos110.zip - the sources
jnos4010.zip - the new data engine code.

New documentation, thanks to Doug Thompson, WG0B

Some new feature for 1.10 :
rip2, status window, 'looking' at sockets, new pi driver, color, and
a few little others...

Enjoy, and see some of you at tapr this weekend...

73,
Johan, WG7J.
