I'm hoping to get it set up as a gateway eventually. What I was wanting to know regards the serial chip on the IO card. Is there anyway to tell whether it has an 8250 or a 16550 (I'd prefer the later). I was thinking that maybe there was ...... If you have windows or know someone who does, there is a DOS utility in the windows directory called MSD.EXE. Run that and look at the comm ports detail.
