The error message I received was "Panic: Interrupts were off!" My guess was that the laptop was going to sleep, which is not conducive to correct operation by communication software. You can set up the T-1000 either to boot DOS 2.11 from ROM or whatever version you want from floppy. DOS 3.30 works well, in fact, but did not seem to affect NOS one way or the other. The easy way out was that I discovered NET1H worked fine on the T-1000, so I never invested a lot of effort. Besides, the T-1000 comes standard with only 512K memory, and NOS will barely fit into it. I do not have the same kind of trouble with communications software other than NOS. My T-1000 has the built-in MHz modem option, and I use Procomm Plus 2.01 with no trouble. The only other software I ever use on the laptop is Lotus 1-2-3 2.01 and WordStar 3.3, both of which work fine. -- Mike ------------------------------ End of TCP-Group Digest V93 #171 ****************************** ******************************
