When I assign addresses, I ask only for a mailing address, and
will not insist if the amateur is even the slightest bit unwilling.
Usually the dialog is something like "Is the callbook address for
your call in case I need to reach you?" followed by "yes".

I'm only tring to make sure that I can contact folks via mail
for some unlikely reason.
