The following paragraph discussing the "B" patch for the InstantTrac
program was found a the archive.afit.af.mil site. The patch is not in
the pub/space directory but is available via the Celestial BBS (TS Kelso,
SYSOP).

>[1] ITPATCH2.ZIP 9111 5-May-1992 01:53
> Patch #2 to InstantTrack 1.00. This program updates InstantTrac

> Patch #1. Like Patch #1, this patch solves the problem of different

Is there an ftp site with InstantTrac 1.00b version/patch?

Thank you.

It hasn't changed. I beleive they have reduced the number of available lines.
They have also started refusing connection in the event a port
isn't immediately available. It'll take some trying now, but you should be
able to get through.

Subject: Some RS Questions
To: ham-space@ucsd.edu

I am new to the world of satellite operating, but have a two meter
all-moder, a tracking program and an HF rig. I would like to work
RS-10/11, but am confused on a few of the finer points.

Does RS-10 have a reverse linear transponder or a regular one? I'm not
sure where between 29.360 and 29.400 to find my signal when uplinking on
2m.

How do I know which mode RS-10 is using? Does it only use one mode at a
time, or all modes simulatneously? Which mode does it use the most? Do
RS-10 and 11 use the same mode at the same time? I am interested in modes
T and A.

Should I be able to hit RS-10 with 25 watts and a 5/8 vertical (at a very
high location) consistantly if its high above the horizon? Would changing
the orientation of the antenna from vertical to horizontal help?

How come I can't track RS-12/13 using Traksat and current TLE data?

Please post answers to any or all of these questions on the board or email
me directly. Thank you.
