Order from yaesu as a replacement part. The 530 antenna is well known around here as a designer dummy-load. The single band antennas will always perform better than the dual-band compromisers. It worked out great!! When I returned it I was able to get a DJ-580 antenna (considerably shorter than the ft-470 ant) and an MFJ speaker mic. : Why is it called the "Miracle Baby"?? Its the Cabim (read that as Cabin!) Fever Festival. Its a family type event. We'll be running on 2,10,20,40,80 whatever else meters we can get ops for. I'll personally be on 10m. I was wondering if there were any hams at Nasa/Ames who would be able to point my friend toward a station he could make a 3-rd party at. However, I have always understood that the self-adopted rules of the USENET (and no, I'm not referring to the internet here) say "no commercial activity." Period. Regardless of how its routed or where it goes. If it's on a newsgroup, it shouldn't be a commercial activity. He was speaking of some electronic hacks to the tranceiver where you could receive more frequencies and some other hacks which he refused to discuss over the air. (I can understand why) I never got in touch with him over the landlines or a simplex frequency and I was wondering if anyone in the wide world of the Internet had those hacks handy for disclosure.
