Don't sweat it.  Keep trying, somebody always cancels at the last 
minute.  Try to get on several waiting lists, and keep calling back, 
eventually you'll get a room.  If this fails, the day of the hamfest will 
surely lead to some cancellations, especially if it's raining!  I have 
been going to dayton on and off for 15 years, and rarely am I smart 
enough to reserve a room far in advance.  I have yet to sleep in my car.  
This year I got a room at the Radisson Inn, but I think they are sold out 
now as well.  You also might try some towns north of dayton on I75?  I've 
done that too.  The expressway makes it easy to travel far quickly.
