I LEARNED A FEW THINGS ABOUT ANTENNAS & MATCHING IN THE PROCESS. JUST THOUGHTS YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECKOUT... 1. IS THE ANTENNA THE CORRECT LENGTH WHEN EXTENDED? 2. I ASSUME THAT THERE IS SOME SORT OF IMPEDANCE MATCHING COIL OR NETWORK INTEGRATED INTO THE ANTENNA. IS IT THERE? / REMOVABLE? 3. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF A BROKEN OR CORRODED CONNECTION BETWEEN THE CENTER CONDUCTOR OF THE CONNECTOR AND THE NETWORK. 4. NETWORK TO ANTENNA ROD? 5. OR NETWORK & GROUND? THIS MAY NOT FIX, BUT IT MAY BE A CLUE AS TO WHY IT IS NOT WORKING WELL. 73 ED@FORE.COM (TECH TEST PASSED, NO CALL YET) {:-( I HAVE LOTS OF TIME TO BUILD ANTENNAS THOUGH. {:-) ------------------------------ Date: 31 Mar 94 08:18:28 GMT From: news-mail-gateway@ucsd.edu Subject: Egg beater?
