To: ham-ant@ucsd.edu Hi, What is the right (ideal length) for a 20m antenna, dipole? Is vertical better than horizontal? What are the differences? 73 de 9V Daniel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Feb 1994 16:18:26 GMT From: wang!dbushong@uunet.uu.net Subject: AEA Isoloop To: ham-ant@ucsd.edu I just got an Isoloop and there's a good-news/bad-news story. The good news is that, because I live in the dungeon floor of a three- story apartment building, I had to stand the thing on a 10' pole outside my window. It works pretty well, and I made several contacts last night on several bands. It takes a little getting used to the tuning, but considering the magic that's taking place up there, it's acceptable. The bad news is that I had to go to work today instead of staying home and playing with my new antenna. I am sure I saw such a design in a recent magazine, but I can't find it now. I'm looking for something that can be rolled up and easily stored for travel. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jan 94 21:01:48 -0500 From: ucsnews!sol.ctr.columbia.edu!howland.reston.ans.net!noc.near.net!news.delphi.com!usenet@network.ucsd.edu Subject: J-Pole Design Needed To: ham-ant@ucsd.edu Dick Partos writes: >one and it works fine.
