Subject: IC02AT "reverse" question
To: ham-equip@ucsd.edu

One can punch "reverse" and listen to the input of a repeater if you are in the
"dial" rather then "memory recall" mode.

It would be nice to use this "reverse" feature from the "memory recall" mode -
does anyone know a way of doing it OR writing the memory info back into the
display easily so you can then press "reverse" ?

Would appreciate email replies rather than posted ones.....Thanks

John

Subject: Icom IC-u2AT batteries
To: ham-equip@ucsd.edu

Owners or users of Icom IC-u2AT HT's please help me . . .

Questions:

1. The IC-u2AT comes with a BP-22 battery. I am trying to estimate
the condition of my BP-22 battery. When fully charged, the
output voltage is 6.8 volts. Does your BP-22 show a similar
   output voltage?

2. I am planning to buy the AD-11 adapter from Icom that allows
the BP-3, BP-5, etc. size batteries (which were originally
designed for use with the IC-2AT, 3AT, 4AT) to be attached to
the IC-u2AT. I would then get "clone" battery packs from
other battery manufactures. (It appears that none of the
independent battery suppliers sell battery packs that are
clones of the BP-22, BP-23, etc. any longer.) However, I need
to know the voltage that the BP-xx packs put out so that
I can determine which of the BP-x packs can be used. Can
you please help me with this?

Has anyone heard/seen anything concerning the Patriot Communications
Technology PC-1610, other than the advertisement in the March CQ
magazine?

It is a HF transceiver with keyboard interface (std IBM AT keyboard)
and built in CW, BAUDOT, and ASCII in addition to SSB. 75W out,
built in iambic keyer, 4 bandwidths, 3 selectable antennas,
$995 introductory price.

Looks like there is no built-in AC supply.
