Subject: Engine Noise ??
To: ham-equip@ucsd.edu

I am using my Alinco DJ-180 in my 1994 Chevy pickup truck. Even though
the power comes from a stand alone battery, I am getting some noise into
the receiver. Also, at times I get noise in the AM receiver as well.
Any ideas?

Subject: Looking to buy Hammarlund noise immunizer
To: ham-equip@ucsd.edu

I'm looking to buy the noise immunizer accessory for the Hammarlund
HQ-180. I've yet to see one of these accessories advertised in any vintage
gear newsgroup/magazine that I subscribe/buy. Are these items rare? If any
one has one of these items to sell please email me at my email address.

I have a HQ-145AC for sale. It's in very good condition
mechanically, electrically and cosmetically. The rig was retubed within the
last year. I'm asking US$150.

Having been away from the hobby for some time I would like some information
from anyone out there concerning ready made QRP CW transeivers. Single or
multiple band. Does anyone still make such things? If so, how many different
ones are available?

Thanks

Those are additional DTMF tone-pairs. Some devices that use DTMF use
them to increase the available signal alphabet. (0-9, *, #, and
optionally A-D.) The Bell System defined these tones when they defined
the rest of DTMF but never used them on consumer telephone equipment.
