A friend of mine let me borrow his "CMOS Super Keyer II",
and I like it very much. Where can I buy one of these?
The book says that it was made by KC0Q and N0II. This book
was printed by Idiom Press, Box 583, Deerfield IL 60015.
Do these guys make them and sell them? Do they sell them
through distributers like HRO and AES? How much do they
sell for?
The feature list sounds identical to the Logikey unit (that
HRO sells for about $120). Are these the same design? Any
comments about either of these units?

The R4A is a very nice old receiver -- nice stable dial with 1 kHz readout,
good selectivity, notch filter. But $150 sounds a little high, unless
the radio is in excellent shape.

Subject: NovAtel mod?

I have a NovAtel cellular phone and have seen some posts that indicate
it is possible to modify these to work in the 33cm (902MHz-928MHz) ham
band. I have never seen a post that actualy explains how this is done or
where the parts can be purchased to make this into a ham rig. If someone
could let me know or post it here I would appreciate it.

It isn't clear that the Ten-tec receiver is superior to the FT-747GX receiver.
Without objective test results, I'd avoid making such judgement. If you
have some objective data, I'd like to see it.
The FT-747GX, with an FM module installed, draws about 1A on receive.
