About $20-25 plus shipping. Considering the cost, and the cutting/soldering on the printed circuit board, I decided to use software that sets the TNC clock from my PC. I did install the 128K SRAM upgrade (and the 5.1 ROMs). The chip I installed bears this inscription: HM628128LP-10 Kantronics says a 628128 is needed. I don't know what the rest of this designation is. Perhaps LP is low power, and the -10 is a speed designation? $25 when I ordered the ROM revision. Burt N5SYY ... I have not found such a driver on ucsd.edu. To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu I've got several digital signals receivable on my fm cable that I'm trying to decode, I've identified one of the frequencies used as 1270Hz. Does anyone know if any commonly used FSK formats use 1270Hz as one of there frequencies? Also what about using a computer to decode FSK? you could sample an i/o line and find the time between transisions of the tone to determine the frequncy. Maybe have a programmable frequency point where the output would be 1 if above that point and 0 if below. Anyone thought about this? It seems to me one could be made very simply with a pic micro. comments? thanx, mycal ------------------------------ Date: 2 Jan 94 18:53:33 EST From: sdd.hp.com!spool.mu.edu!darwin.sura.net!wvnvms.wvnet.edu!marshall.wvnet.edu!frazier2@network.ucsd.edu Subject: WORMS AND ROMS To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu Anyone know of any graphics programs which enable the user to record music on their system at very specefic levels? I've heard I'd need a WORM rather than a CDROM but not really sure I understand the difference between the two. Is a WORM merely a more scrupulous CDROM???!!!??? Anyways, thanks for listeneing!
