I can't seem to link up with any stations on 20 while they're calling CQ (FEC B). I suspect it's the AGC timing of the Atlas (which is not externally defeatable). Can someone tell me if this is common on old rigs due to their slow response time? (BTW, I have no problem copying mode "A" or "B" transmissions in "monitoring" mode, using an MFJ-1278 TNC, running rev 3.3 FW) Thanks -- | Bruce Sawtelle AX.25 : W3NJ @ N5LJF.TX.USA.NA | | Tandem Computers, Inc. To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu Saw the Ramsey TNC kit (the one that comes with the Baycom program) that you connect to the serial com port of your IBM PC (or clone). It gets its power from the PC. A small pc board, and a handful of parts. No adjustments it claims, as all the frequency tones are crystal locked. Halted in Silicon Valley wants $60 for it, seems a bit pricey considering the amount of parts in it. How good does this kit work? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Dec 1993 02:10:59 GMT From: mvb.saic.com!unogate!news.service.uci.edu!usc!cs.utexas.edu!lgc.com!lgc.com!stener@network.ucsd.edu Subject: sunax25 v1.2 modloadable for 4.1.3 or Solaris To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu I am interested in getting a group of people (or 1 person) who would be interested in the idea of converting the sunax25 packet drivers to a modloadable form for use on SunOS 4.1.3, SunOS 4.1.3C, and Solaris 2.x and forward. thanks, stuart, n3gwg stuart@Jane.sas.upenn.edu ------------------------------ Date: 21 Dec 93 05:36:04 GMT From: news-mail-gateway@ucsd.edu Subject: TAPR office changes To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu The TAPR office is moving and will be closed until January 11, 1994.
