Parameter Load and Save
The fractal-parameters can be saved and reloaded for recalculation.
Select menu File | Save Params to
save the parameters of the current fractal.
Later this file can be loaded and the fractal is recalculated with all its
settings. The following settings are saved in the parameter-files
- fractal-type
- corner-values
- iteration maximum
- bailout-values and testmethod
- all fractal-specific parameters
Parameter Settings (General)
- Page General : Maximun iterations for the convergency-test.
This value shoud be increased
when zooming in.
- Page Corners : The numeric corers of the fractal. The default-button
resets the corners.
- Page Convergency : Sets the conditions for the convergency-test.
BailOut is the limit, ConvFunc is the testmethod.
- Page Parameter: Shows all 16 parameter-values in a fractal independent
mask. First use the fractal-specific settings.
- Page Info: Shows some information about the current fractal. Read
only.

Parameter (Type-Specific)
This dialog shows all type-specific settings. The apperance of this dialog
changes with the current fractal-type. It is also possible, that the fractal
has no type-specific parameters.
Changing the Fractal-Type
Select menu fractal | type. A dialog presents all aviable types. Double-click to
the desired type to choose it. Then the new fractal is calculated with the
default-values.
Changing Maximum Iterations
Select menu Fractal | Parameter. Select the tab general. Spin the value
in the field iterations or enter it directly. (click)
Picture Colordeep and Size
Select menu Picture | General Settings.
Here are the settings for the colordeep
(1 bpp, Black and white, 8bpp 256 colors and 32 bit truecolor), and the settings
for the imagesize. The four most used sizes are avaible on the buttons.
The image-size can also changed by resizing the window.
Zooming
Currentrly there are two zoom-modes implemented.
Rectangle-dragging:
Pressing the left mouse-button and dragging the mouse
will create a rectangle. After releasing the button the area inside the
rectangle is zoomed. To avoid unevenly scaling, only the horizontal size of the
zoom-rectangle is used to determinate the zoom-factor.
Point & Click
Clicking with the middle mouse-button inside the image will zoom to this point
with a fixed zoom-factor.
Zoom-Out
Pressing the Control-key during the zoom-operation will zoom out.
