Welcome to the Linux Games CDROM!
This CD-ROM is a compilation of the best games, graphics, sound, and other
multimedia applications for the Linux operating system.
System Requirements:

* A CD-ROM drive

Quick Start Instructions:
Point your HTML browser to the root level 00_index.htm in order
to browse the contents of the cdrom. The html indices provide for
easy browsing with your favorite web broswer. The games are in both
rpm and tgz format. If you are using a non-RPM based linux distrubution,
such as slackware and debian, you will need to use the tgz packages.
Package extraction/installation instructions.
rpm:
rpm -ihv filename.rpm
tgz: (slackware)
installpkg filename.tgz
or (other linux dists)
tar -zxvf filename.tgz -C <extract directory>
enter the resulting directory and check for any README or INSTALL
documentation.
If you use a libc5 based Linux distribution such as Slackware, you
must install the glibc-runtime package in the tgz/ directory for the
binaries to work. Read the accompanying README file for more information.
Using the HTML interface:
We have included HTML files so the user may use a Web browser to easily
view the contents of this cdrom.
In order to view this disc using the HTML interface, point your Web
browser to the root level "00_index.htm" file.
For example, in Netscape:
1. Click on "File"
2. Click on "Open File"
3. Choose your CDROM drive
4. Select the 00_index.htm file
