XITE also has a display program called "xshow" with image widget and graphical user interface. When zooming into pictures, the actual pixel values show up as numbers. XITE processes pictures made of any doing calculations on the pixel values. 600 library functions for image processing and widget handling and 60 subroutines for image format handling are also available in XITE. Manual pages and HTML documentation of all routines and programs are included. The binary package consists of 3 MB of lib, bin and config files, and 12 MB of documentation and include files. In order to not fill up /usr/bin and /usr/man with many hundreds of files, most of XITE is installed under /usr/xite and a shell script automatically updating the PATH and MANPATH is installed in /etc/profile.d/xite.sh. XaoS-3.0-2.i386.rpm XaoS is a fast portable real-time interactive fractal zoomer. It displays the Mandelbrot set (among other escape time fractals) and allows you zoom smoothly into the fractal. Various coloring modes are provided for both the points inside and outside the selected set. In addition, switching between Julia and Mandelbrot fractal types and displaying planes is provided. The first version was a poorly written Mandelbrot view by Thomas later modified by Jan to support high frame-rate zooming. Other additions were later made including autopilot (for those of you without drivers licenses), palette changing, PNG saving, and fractal inversion. abuse-1.10-5.i386.rpm This is ``Abuse'' an X or SVGA game. It's from some of the original Doom authors, but is not first person like Doom. It is more like Super Mario or something in it's scrolling and view, but it does come with it's own custom level creation features. aero-1.7.0-1.i386.rpm AERO is a tool for editing and simulating scenes with rigid body systems. You can use the built-in 4-view editor to create a virtual scene consisting of spheres, cuboids, cylinders, planes and fix points. You can link these objects with rods, springs, dampers and bolt joints and you can connect forces to the objects. Then you can begin the simulation and everything starts moving according to the laws of physics (gravitation, friction, collisions). The simulation can be viewed as animated wire frame graphics.
