Dia is a program for creating diagrams of all kinds. The current version can do UML class diagrams, Entity-Relationship modeling, network diagrams, and much more. The engine is very flexible and dynamically loads diagram-types from disk. It can currently export to PostScript and load/save in an XML format.

GImageView is a GTK+ based image viewer. It supports tabbed browsing, thumbnail table views, directory tree views, drag and drop, reading the thumbnail cache of other famous image viewers, and a flexible user interface.

QVV is small Qt-based image viewer that offers a simple user interface, single-key operations, key-only navigation, and multiple browsers and image windows. It also supports a command-line interface.

transcode is a text console video-stream processing tool. It supports elementary video and audio frame transformations. Some example modules are included to enable import of MPEG-1/2, Digital Video, and other formats. It also includes export modules for writing to AVI files with DivX, OpenDivX, XviD, Digital Video or other codecs. Direct DVD transcoding is also supported. A set of tools is available to extract and decode the sources into raw video/audio streams for import and to enable post-processing of AVI files.

Veejay is a video tracking tool for X Windows and the Linux console, which is similar in concept to FastTracker and ProTracker. Samples can be lined up on tracks and patterns, which are then arranged to video. It currently supports mjpeg. The project emphasises direct (user) interaction, and it is possible to navigate through samples, define various types of looping, increase and decrease playback speed, navigate through the effect chain, and apply entire chains of effects in realtime, using a joystick or keyboard.
