Bash

Bash is an sh-compatible command language interpreter that executes commands read from the standard input or from a file. Bash also incorporates useful features from the Korn and C shells (ksh and csh). Bash is intended to be a conformant implementation of the IEEE POSIX Shell and Tools specification (IEEE Working Group 1003.2).

KAMount

KAMount is an application for KDE and GNOME that gives an easy way to mount and unmount media like CD, Jaz, Zip, and others. Only put the disc in and KAMount will recognize the format, if data media, then it will put an icon on the desktop with the name, and sometimes with the correct picture; if a music CD it will check FreeDB CDDB database for the name and then put the icon on the desktop. If you want to eject the media, then simply put it on the trash, and it will be unmounted and ejected.

KAlarm

KAlarm lets you configure personal messages to be displayed at scheduled times. It allows you to choose the message font and color, to display a text file, how often to repeat, whether to beep when the message is displayed, and whether to cancel the message if it can't be displayed on time (e.g. if you are logged out at the time). As well as using the graphical interface to configure alarms, you can use the command line, and there is a DCOP interface for other applications. KAlarm will only run on the KDE2 desktop. Note that this application is unrelated to KAlarm for KDE1.

Nova_I.O.E.

Nova is a free Integrated Observational Environment for astronomers. It combines Ephemeris functionality with the capability of controlling modern "goto" telescopes and popular CCD cameras. Nova combines image capture, telescope control and ephemeris functionality into a single application. The main goal of Nova is to make it easy(ish) to capture CCD images of objects with a good degree of accuracy. Nova is also able to manage several kinds of astronomical database (i.e GSC, USNO, SAO, etc.) and makes it easy to automatically schedule observational activity through the use of target object lists.

WebConfig

WebConfig is a plugin for the KDE Control Center which embeds a web browser inside KDE's Control Center. This permits easy incorporation of HTML/Java/JavaScript-based administration tools into the Control Center.

Worker

Worker is a file-manager exclusive for X based on the famous filemanager "DirectoryOpus" on the AmigaOS. It is configurable on the fly without restarting Worker. Any extern program can be easily integrated in the GUI, including a button and a hotkey. Worker uses real file-recognition on file-content AND/OR file-ending, where each file-type can get an own action.

XNotesPlus

XNotesPlus is a Personal Information Manager (PIM) based around a sticky notes (aka Memos) concept with over a dozen features: email, search text, printing, audio/visual alarms, etc. It also includes a full featured interface to the 3Com Palm Pilot, including full Address Book, Todo List, and Calendaring functions, with XNotes exported as Pilot Memos, and Pilot Memos imported as XNotes. The Address Manager in XNotesPlus allows you to use addresses from the Pilot to print envelopes, and send email notes to friends.

Xcoral

Xcoral is a multiwindow mouse-based text editor for Unix/X11 with syntax highlighting and auto-indentation. A built-in browser enables you to navigate through C functions, C++ and Java classes, methods, files and attributes. This browser is very fast and self-updates automatically after file modifications. An ansi C Interpreter (Smac) is also built-in to dynamically extend the editor's facilities (user functions, keybindings, modes, etc).
