Description of Working Group:

The major purpose of this Group is to coordinate BGP deployment and
application in the current Internet.
 
It intends to create a forum for BGP users to share BGP deployment
experiences and also provide a channel for users to communicate with
router vendors who implemented or who are implementing BGP.  It also intends
to discuss BGP policy application and coordinate policy implementation
in the current internet routing enviroment which includes defining the
usage of policy, defining a mechanism to share policy information, etc.
 

Goals and Milestones: 
 
  Ongoing Facilitate the deployment of BGP as widely as possible.              

          Define the issues and the needs of the policy routing in the current 
          Internet architecture.  Discuss how BGP policy routing capability 
          apply to the Internet policy routing needs.  A document may be 
          generated on this topic.                                             

   Dec 92 Facilitate the deployment of BGP as widely as possible until such 
          help is not needed anymore.                                          

   Mar 93 Define a mechanism to share policy information between Administrative
          Domains and generate a document to describe the mechanism.
