I have made a hardware overview at http:/userpage.fu-berlin.de/~r2d2c3po/ir_misc.cgi. This list contains also infos about IR capable devices which are not mentioned here (mices, printers, remote control, transceivers, etc.).
To make this list more valuable, it is neccessary to collect more infos about the IR devices in different hardware. You can help sending me a short E-Mail containing the exact name of the hardware you have and which type of IR controller is used. You can get this infos in four ways:
cat /proc/pci
, though often the PCI infos are uncomplete. CTPCI330.EXE
available in ZIP format from the german CT magazine at
http://www.heise.de/ct/ftp/pci.shtml. I recommend this tool, because the info provided by this program is usually the best.dmesg
, wether FIR is detected or not. Though I am not sure how much FIR support is included in the official snapshot yet. Please let me also know how well Linux/IR worked (What tty at which port and io it works with and the corresponding IR device, e.g. printer, handy, etc.).
