CDPlayer v2.0 Copyright 1995 by Xesús M.López Alvarez ------------- --------------------------------------- Abstract: --------- This is a music-CD player, using your computer's CD-Rom driver. It can store data about the CD's name, author, and performers, alongside with information about each track. Installation: ------------- - Make a directory, and put in it the files 'cdplayer.exe' and 'cddata.dat' - Make sure that 'cddata.dat' has read-write permission. - From windows, add a link to cdplayer.exe, Set up the working directory to the directory previously created. Main Features: -------------- - Its nice graphical interface, with resembles an Hi-Fi Set CD Player. - Its ease of use. It has no barroque and unuseful controls disturbing. - 1 button for each song. + Accelerators for the first ten songs. + A Hint in each button, showing the track name of that button. - Slide-bar for the current song. - Next-track / previous-track buttons - Right-button popup menu, with a HIERARCHICAL list of songs. + This is very useful for classic music CDs. It's very common to find songs with more than on track (i.e. XVI Sonata Haydn, has Allegro, Adagio and Finale) + If you put this information in the Song/Section fields of each song, when you press the right button, tracks with the same Song name appear in one hierarchical submenu. It's a very logical interface. - Stay-on-top option. Keyboard Control: ----------------- - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 Goto the song with that number (0 means 10) - "-" , "+" Previous/Next Track. - e, E Eject Disk - p, P Play - s, S Stop Mouse Control: -------------- - Left button: As Usual. - Right button: Popup menu with list of songs.
