WINMORPH PRESS RELEASE ---------------------- WinMorph is a morphing program for Windows. Version 1.63 is now finished and is available from Phoenix.oulu.fi. If you have seen earlier versions of WinMorph forget them. They were full of bugs and painfully slow compared to the shiny new version 1.65. Something about the speed: ---------------------------- One 320x200 frame takes about 8 secs to morph with my 386/33. RMorf for DOS takes about 7.2 secs so WinMorph is still a little slower. Maybe it's so because WinMorph has to run Windows at the same time. Fifteen frames takes about two minutes while with version 0.9 it took 15 minutes. Bugs: ------ Earlier versions of WinMorph had a couple of serious bugs.(Alright, there were more than a couple.) Most of them are now terminated. I'm saying most of them because you never can't be sure. However, the program seems robust to me. Future plannings:(In order of importance) - Ability to load animations as source files - Port to Win32s - Triangulation algorithm - Better viewing of truecolor pictures on 256-color devices. - Better interpolation with keyframes WinMorph is Shareware. Registration fee is 150 FIM or 30 US$. The registration includes all future versions of WinMorph. Marko Marjamaa mama@phoenix.oulu.fi
