  - Fixed the spec file -- wasn't using pristine sources before. and a few
    things in the postinstall/%files were gamey.  (Basically, I think the make
    rpm target of the distribution's makefile needs some work.)
  - Created a patch to use automake and libtool.  The INSTALL file says these
    were avoided so the package to be buildable on DOS, but I sent them to him
    anyway with the explanation that he can still have seperate makefile.tc 's
    for DOS and configure scripts for UNIX.
  - Split the package into three parts to be more like other rpms.
  - I found a reference to version 2.0 -- Since this is release 3.0, I changed
    it.  Someone tell me if that's wrong.
  - Found several bugs in the rle2gif.c and gif2rle.c files.  It almost seems
    the libgif interface changed but these files weren't changed when that
    happened.
