FIBS/W is a Microsoft Windows(TM) based client for the First
International Backgammon Server (FIBS) -- an Internet server
which allows users to play against human opponents all over
the world. FIBS/W provides a graphical game board and mouse-driven
interface to the FIBS server.

Powerful configuration options for many common Internet host systems,
and communications service providers, and a built-in communications
scripting language allow FIBS/W to automatically dial and connect
to FIBS via the Internet with a single mouse click.

FIBS/W will work with either dial-up dumb-terminal-server access to
the Internet or access via TCP/IP, SLIP or PPP. To use TCP/IP, SLIP
or PPP, your system must have a properly installed set of Winsock v1.1
DLLs. If in doubt, you must be able to satisfy one of the following
conditions:

(1) You can dial up an internet host using Windows Terminal, and establish
telnet connections with systems on the internet.

(2) You are using TCP/IP, SLIP or PPP connections, and have a working
copy of WINSOCK.DLL installed on your system.

FIBS/W requires version 3.1 or later of Microsoft Windows, or any
version of Windows for Workgroups or Windows/NT. FIBS/W will also run
as a Windows application under OS/2 2.X.

  NEW FEATURES FOR VERSION 1.30

- Toggle greedy button
- Double-click on checkers to move.
- Copy board positions to the clipboard (Graphics and text)
- Save board positions as text files.
- Doubles initiated by mouse-clicks are now confirmed.
- FIBS server adddress has been updated to the new server address,
and can now be modified through a dialog.
