Wallpaper Manager Plus V2.80

                                02/14/94

---------------------------------------------------------------------
                 Recent Information, Corrections, etc.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Win16 Build: None.

Win32s Build:

1) BUG: Uninstall may crash Windows 3.1x upon completion. This is an
intermittent problem and may be due to a bug in the Win32s extensions.
No problems have been reported with Uninstall under NT or with the
16-bit build under Windows 3.1x. (1/25/94)

2) BUG: After installation when the program is first started it may
report an error attempting to read WALL.GLZ as the logo panel bitmap.
This is an intermittent error and may also be due to problems with the
Win32s extensions. It has not been observed under NT or with the 16-bit
version under Windows 3.1x. (1/25/94)

3) BUG: There are problems using hot keys and the screen saver under
the Win32s extensions. These function correctly in Wallpaper Manager
but seems to cause problems for other applications such a Word for
Windows 6.0. I am now fairly sure these problems are the result of a
bug in the Win32s DLLs which I am discussing with Microsoft. (2/9/94)

Until these problems are resolved I recommend using the Win32s build
only under NT.

CHANGES SETUP AND WALLPAPER MANAGER MAKE TO YOUR WINDOWS SYSTEM

Files: Setup copies the Wallpaper Manager files to the hard disk
directory you specify in the Install dialog. The Help/Uninstall menu
option in Wallpaper Manager will delete all and only these files and
the Wallpaper Manager directory provided it is empty following the
deletion.

WIN.INI: Setup and Wallpaper Manager may modify the load= line in the
[windows] section if you enable Autostart. Any change is undone if you
Uninstall. Wallpaper Manager also changes the wallpaper= line in the
[desktop] section during regular operation. If you Uninstall and the
current wallpaper is not in BMP, DIB, or RLE format then this line
will be set to null otherwise it is unchanged. Under Windows NT the
Win32s build makes these changes to the Registry (NT does not use
WIN.INI for 32-bit applications).

SYSTEM.INI: No changes.

AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS: No changes.

Program Items and Groups: Setup creates a Wallpaper Manager Plus
program group containing a WallPlus program item that you can use to
launch Wallpaper Manager and a WM+ ReadMe file icon that will display
this file in your default editor (usually Windows Notepad). Uninstall
does not delete the items or the group.

Initialization and Galery Files***

  WALL.INI Wallpaper Manager initialization file
  WALL.GAL Default initial gallery file
WALL????.GAL Alternate gallery file if WALL.GAL already exists

Some of these files are named differently on the distribution disk.
Files with extensions ending in an underscore (e.g., EX_) have been
compressed. Files with extension CR_ are encrypted and compressed
(encrypted files are only included in shareware distribution package).
The Setup program decompresses and decrypts the distribution files as
needed during installation.

* The ?? is replaced by 16 for Win16 (16-bit) versions and 32 for
Win32s (32-bit) versions.

** Setup does not transfer these files. They are not used by Wallpaper
Manager.

*** These files are only created if they are not already present (as
might be the case if you are installing an upgrade). If WALL.GAL is
already present WALL????.GAL is created instead where ???? is replaced
by the current Wallaper Manager version number, e.g., WALL280B.GAL.
