**************************** WELCOME to MrPill *************************

MrPill must be run from Windows (a registered trademark of Microsoft
Corporation).

-- the following information may be brought to the screen by the selection of
HELP on the selector bar (you can scroll through the info by using the
scrollbar and you may also enlarge this help screen by pointing to the frame
edge at which time the cursor will become a double arrow and then dragging to
the desired size):

The object of the game is to keep Mr Pill moving through a CONTINUOUS pipe
conduit. The screen consists of a number of panels with each having a
particular pipe configuration. You must move these panels around so as
to provide Mr Pill a CONTINUOUS path to move through. This is accomplished
by matching the pipe ends as you move the panels.

The individual pipe configuration panels are moved by your using the ARROW
keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) or left-click the mouse on an ADJACENT panel
to first move the Main Panel (w/4 red arrows) next to the pipe panel which
is to be moved. Then by moving the Main Panel onto this panel, this pipe
panel assumes the location previously occupied by the Main Panel (i.e. the
pipe panel and the Main panel flip-flop).

Both Mr Pill and the Main Panel(w/4 red arrows) will automatically
traverse the edges of the table, i.e. side to other side, top to bottom
	and vice-versa.

Points are scored for each pipe traversed and thus erased. If Mr Pill
enters a panel and the correct pipe configuration is not present (i.e. the
pipe ends do not match), then Mr Pill will fall off the screen and the
	game is ended.

To start the game - 1) First close this menu 2) Then move the Main Panel
OR select Menu on selector bar and then finally select Begin.

To pause at anytime hit "p" key on the keyboard - to resume hit "r" key.

To exit the game, select Menu and then Exit.

If you have the registered version, you can change Mr Pill's traversing
speed and have multiple screen capability, i.e. when you complete a full
screen, a new screen is presented and you can continue to add to your
score. Panels erased at higher speeds receive higher score values.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

At first the method of moving panels can be awkward but with a little
practice you will be surprised how easy it is. Remember move the Main
Panel (w/4 red arrows) next to the pipe panel you wish to move and in the
location you wish to move this pipe panel to - then move the Main Panel
onto this pipe panel and now the pipe panel is where you want it. In a
little while you will be moving pipe panels like mad.

Remember you can use the arrow keys or left-click the mouse on an
	adjacent panel.

Another awkward action, at first, is the moving of the Main Panel and the
	crossing of MrPill from top-to-bottom , bottom-to-top or side-to-side.
Again practice will make this very easy. In fact, this is a great way to
move pipe panels quickly from one area to another as again the Main Panel
will move into its previous location the pipe panel it moves onto. In
other words, the pipe panel at the bottom of the screen will move to the
top when you traverse the Main Panel from top to bottom (push UP arrow
when Main Panel is top edge of screen or left-click the mouse on the panel
at the bottom directly opposite the one at the top).

When you allow MrPill to traverse the edge (i.e. the pipe panel MrPill
is moving through has an open end at the edge of screen), make sure the
pipe panel at the opposite side has an open end next to the edge. If not,
MrPill will fall and the game will end.

As your game experience increases, you will allow MrPill to go from one
side to the other. It is almost impossible to clear a full screen without
	doing this.

Try to construct a continuous pipe conduit as far ahead as possible and
try to get rid of the double pipe bend panels as soon as possible (they
change to single bends after traversing).

You will not be allowed to move the Main Panel onto a panel MrPill is
moving through and , if you try, a beep will sound.

If you get confused, press the "p" key to pause and gather your wits.
Hitting "r" key resumes the action. You will eventually be able to do
a whole screen without using the pause.

As mentioned earlier, the registered version has multiple MrPill speeds.
This allows you to increase your score by letting MrPill move at a faster
rate when you have a long run setup since the speed at which MrPill moves
though a panel determines its point value.

Also the registered version has multiple screens. As you complete one
screen, another screen appears and your score total is carried over to
this new screen. Again allowing greater score totals.

You can put the MrPill icon in the Windows game group by the following
	method:
		1) From Windows Program Manager, pullup the Game group
		2) Select "File"
		3) Select "New"
		4) Select radio button "Program Item" - click OK or press Enter
		5) Enter following data
			     "Description" MrPill
				"Command Line" mrpill
"Working Directory" path where mrpill.exe is
			- click OK or press Enter

Now you can select MrPill by double-clicking on the MrPill icon.

I hope you enjoy MrPill and send for the registered version. I would
also appreciate receiving info on any problems you encounter and any
comments you would like to make including those that you think would
make MrPill more enjoyable. After you purchase the registered version,
if you get a super score, I would enjoy hearing from you as I am going
to keep a largest score record.
